The journey starts with medical tests for both partners. These include:

• Hormone tests (to evaluate ovarian function)
• AMH test (to check ovarian reserve)
• Serology tests (to rule out viral and infectious diseases)

Stimulation usually begins on day 2 or 3 of the menstrual cycle. The patient receives daily hormone injections for about 10–12 days, with regular ultrasound and blood test monitoring.

When the eggs reach the desired size, a trigger injection is administered to mature them in preparation for retrieval.

Approximately 36–48 hours after the trigger shot, eggs are retrieved from the ovaries. On the same day, a semen sample is collected from the partner (after 3 days of abstinence).

The retrieved eggs are fertilized with sperm in the laboratory. Embryo development is closely monitored by embryologists.

After 5 days, the best-quality embryos are transferred into the uterus. Additional medications support endometrial lining preparation for successful implantation.

Patients are advised to rest, avoid heavy lifting, maintain a healthy diet, and follow all prescribed medications carefully.

Twelve days after the embryo transfer, a blood test is performed to confirm pregnancy.
